IRD Duhallow Launches New Wellbeing & Recovery College.

The Wellbeing & Recovery College is a new initiative of IRD Duhallow and the Rural Community Health Project. The first of its kind in Cork or Kerry, the Wellbeing & Recovery College is based on the models of recovery education operating successfully elsewhere in the country for many years. 

The college utilises adult education as a method of addressing mental health issues in our community. It is the mix of perspectives and experiences that makes a service like this work so everyone is welcome to attend, whether they have lived experience of mental health issues, are friends/family members of someone who does, a community member looking to learn more or a professional working in a related field. 

The Wellbeing & Recovery College launches on September 18^th at 10am, at the James O'Keeffe Institute, Demesne, Newmarket, Co. Cork. P51 C5YF, it is available to everyone over the age of 18, and is free to attend.
