TRAINING SUPPORTS WE PROVIDE

SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITIES

Recovery is a personal journey, but no one should have to navigate it alone. Recovery education provides people with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to take charge of their own well-being. It helps individuals understand their mental health, develop coping strategies, and build resilience, all within a supportive and empowering learning environment.

At ConnectWell, we believe that education is key to recovery. By learning from both professionals and those with lived experience, people can gain insight, hope, and practical skills to support their mental health. Recovery education also fosters connection, self-awareness, and self-advocacy, empowering individuals to take an active role in their recovery journey.

Through the importance of recovery peer-led conversations and WRAP® & Peer leadership training programmes, we aim to break down stigma, promote self-determination, and create pathways to a better quality of life. Whether you're beginning your journey or looking to support others, recovery education is a vital step in building hope, strength, and lasting well-being. This approach aligns with national policies set out in Sharing the Vision: A Mental Health Policy for Everyone, and the National Framework for Recovery in Mental Health Policy which emphasises the importance of empowering individuals and communities in their mental health recovery.

STAY POSITIVE TEXT MESSAGE

During the COVID-19 lockdown, many people found themselves isolated, with limited contact with their communities. We noticed that this lack of connection was taking a toll, as more and more people reached out to us for support.
In May 2020, we launched our Daily Stay Positive text service to bring a sense of connection and encouragement during such a challenging time. This free service delivers a daily uplifting message straight to your phone - offering a small boost of positivity when you might need it most.
The feedback has been incredible, with many saying that reading the text each morning has helped them get through tough days—some even credit it with giving them the motivation to get out of bed.

How to sign up:
Simply text your FULL NAME to 0876626718. You’ll receive a confirmation message for your consent to join the service, and from then on, you’ll get one uplifting text every day (Mon-Fri) - no cost, no hassle, just a little daily encouragement.
You can also check out and follow our Facebook page, where the message is posted daily!
